Strengths:

Great features, good value and powerful.

Weaknesses:

No audio HDMI passthrough or upconvertion.

Posted May 6, 2008 - Excellent clarity and sound reproduction. Very impressive audio modes (atleast about 8 different modes to choose from). Only video is passed through HDMI port. Need to input optical or coax in addition for digital audio. Not too hard to setup, happy with purchase.

4 Star Review Yamaha Receiver

Strengths:

It has capabilty to to play different accesories.

Weaknesses:

none so far

Posted 1 year ago - Yamaha AV receiver has built in switching mechanism. You can add differnet accesories through av cables or HDMI. It connects DVD player, dish, cable and other accesories. It comes with a multi function remote.

4 Star Review Yamaha HTR-6130

Strengths:

Very good sound output. Clear, sharp and powerful: supports DTS.

Weaknesses:

Does not support different cabling...If you use HDMI, you can NOT also use component or coax. All components must be hooked up with same type of wiring.

Posted 1 year ago - I am very happy with this purchase. (other than having to go back for cables). Price vs. quality was next to unbeattable at the time of my purchase. It was an easy setup and I would buy this product again.
